I just saw both Mizu and Itami for sale, and FFG has moved Operation Hinansho and Natalya's release dates to November. The Matriarchy Trooper Pack is slated for December.

Now I know these have been out for a few weeks but some logistic issues delayed their arrival here.
But without further adieu, here is my video pre-review of the Shogunate Troopers and Iroh, now I say pre-review because I have yet to field these characters. So, I can’t comment on how they play. Only their quality, and my first impressions are here.
Note: I kind of flubbed the Land Mine info, it does require an action to place a Land Mine, so you can only place one per turn, I did not make that clear.
Here’s looking forward to trying these out this weekend, and I’m going to try and do more videos over the fall, and winter.

Hey here some stuff I’ve been thinking about.
Have you noticed how old the leaders in Tannhauser are.
As of 1950… (the approximate year for most Tannhauser scenarios.)
President Edison’s age 103 (kept alive by his own inventions), he’s been elected president 10 times, since 1916.
Tsarina Anastasia’s age 49.
Kaiser von Richtenberg 73, but this is after being raised from the dead in 1877, after 400 years in the grave.
Emperor Meiji’s age 98.
Also the Shogunate has just arrived here in my game bunker, so expect videos soon.

I mentioned a few weeks back that FFG would soon release a set of pre-painted figures for The Adventurers the Pyramid of Horus, and I said I thought the would make good mercs. So, to that end I’m beginning to work on some conversions. Now, these will take weeks so be patient.
See a preview after the jump…

Tabletop Gaming News’ new servers have been hacked.
As of 5am Eastern time this is what you see when you go to TGN, (screen capture below). Let’s all hope this gets fixed soon.
Update: the new TGN server is the same server as CoolMiniorNot.com, so that site is also down.
Further Update: if you go to either site the hack will commandeer your browser window and begin resizing it and bouncing it all around your screen, and who knows what else. So, stay away until we hear it’s safe.
Yet another update: here is a quote from the site owners: “Our server hosts, Inmotionhosting.com, had all their sites compromised this morning, including our dedicated machines. We're working on restoring service now. Fortunately we have no payment info stored on these machines, and all passwords are encrypted, so your data should be safe.”
As of noon Eastern time, Tabletop Gaming News is back up and seems fine, I’ll let you guys know if there are any further developments.

Here are the expected release dates for the next Tannhauser expansions.
Mizu TH16 – September 2011
Itami TH17 – October 2011
Operation Hinansho TH18 – October 2011
Natalya TH19 – November 2011
Tannhauser: Rising Sun, Falling Shadows – Nov. 22nd 2011
Matriarchy Trooper Pack TH20 – December 2011
Well there you have it, November is shaping up to be a big month for Tannhauser, as usual these dates are a little loose. So, don’t be surprised if they’re not out exactly on time.
Update: Operation Hinansho moved up to October.
Update again: here is a link to my post with the Tannhauser item list I compiled: Some News and Other Stuff.

With the introduction of the revised rules for Tannhauser by FFG we’ve seen a cleansing of U-Chronic history, and it’s made me wonder about some different possibilities for how the Union came to be and how the British Empire fits in.
Read more after the jump…
I have a lot of projects on the table right now, but I’m not making progress on any of them, I just can’t seem to focus. Not to mention I’m woefully uninspired, I’m hoping that that will fix itself when I get the new expansions, but I still can’t afford them. So, it’s all very much a bit of a bother. I’m not sure where to go from here at the moment, but I suppose it will work out. Oh well…
Any way, here’s what I’m working on…
A set of scenarios for the event cards.
A new map, called the Cliffside Sanitarium.
Finishing up this years Bonus Tokens.
Of course there’s all the stuff I never get around to proofing and updating… and there are about 55 new entries for the Mythopoeia and I don’t even have the new expansions yet.

Here are the revised Tannhauser Event Cards, I corrected some errors and game play issues, I also resized them to the size of the Tannhauser Equipment cards. I added about 10 new card which haven’t been tested, but my experience from the first set made these a little easier to write.
So take a look after the jump.

I’m working on series of scenarios, a small campaign, but the gimmick for this small campaign is a deck of 40 “event” cards. While this concept isn’t fully finished, I don’t have complete rules for when you draw the cards, etc., but I do have the cards themselves.
Take look after the jump.

I’ve been working on one of those internet survey/quiz things to help new players decide which Tannhauser faction is best for them.
Here follow this link, and try it out, and give me some feedback.
I believe I can still edit some of the quiz, but I know some parts cannot be changed now, so try it se what you think.

Well it’s getting close to hunting season here in West Virginia, so it time to break out those really powerful, super-accurate rifles, or you can go hunt bears with a bow in October.
The Sniper Rifle
This bolt action rifle has been modified with a basic optic device, allowing for greater accuracy at long distances. However it has a limited ammunition capacity, and is unwieldy at close range.
Weapon, Sniper Rifle • Before you deploy you may target any enemy character anywhere on the board, the targeted character suffers four automatic successes. This attack may not be counter attacked. Extra Ammo may not be used with this weapon.
After you deploy you must discard this token.
