Pledge Drive Update…

Hi folks, the pledge drive has been going really well, we’ve had over $100 USD in donations this week, and hope for more. We have about 20 Cerberus Dog Tags left. If this success continues we’ll be looking to do this again sometime with something a little more exclusive.

Anyway if your interested in donating please check out the link below.

And don’t forget about Tannhauser Month starting October 1st, your submissions are always welcome. I have the fist week pretty well planed, but after that there are a lot of gaps.

One last note for our donors all the Dog Tags for this week have been sent out, we sent them as cheep as we could so I’m not sure how long they’ll take to get there. If you’re an international donor don’t hesitate to send us an email when your gift arrives. That way we can better estimate shipping times.

Decent in to Madness

FFG ahs posted a preview of the gameplay and rules for under ground combat in Dust Tactics next expansion Operation Hades.

You can check it out at the link below. Needs Your Help!

We have had a hard time making the ends meet here, and without giving you folks a long sob story I’m just going to say we need your help to continue operations.

The site is currently over $2000.00 in debt over the last year, and we can no longer sustain this level of spending. We don’t want to stop, and we want to keep expanding our coverage both here and on our YouTube channel.

So please donate, so that we can continue to bring you the latest Dust news, the Best Tannhauser customs anywhere, and as much more as we can do.

From now until we run out everyone who donates at least $5.00 USD will receive a Dust Tactics Operation Cerberus dog tag necklace.

Please we ask everyone who reads and enjoys what we do here, to donate what they can afford.

We thank you all for your support, and readership.

Note: If you have previously donated to us: please send an email to the Administrator (see our Contact Us page) with your address and will send you a dog tag as well.

International Donor's: Note it cost $3.00 to mail out your gift.

Tina Officially Released

While she’s been available from Dust Models for a couple days, the official announcement didn’t go up till Friday. I have to say this is one of my favorite Dust female models. Way better then Angela in my opinion. I hope that she will eventually find her way in to FFG’s Dust games.

In other news I’m going to be filming the video for the Frakenstahl this week or next, after that I’m going to start a series looking at individual Dust units.

Note: The Frank video will not post for some time as his release has been delayed.

Quick Note….

The last of the Tannhauser expansions, the Frankenstahl is now listed on the boat.

Dust: Allied Aircraft

Today FFG posted a brief interview with Paolo Parente, you can read it HERE.

But more interestingly they posted a piece of concept art that shows what appears to be Allied aircraft flying over Zverograd.

Below is the original image.

And here is an enlargement, showing the detail of the design and a white star on the wing.

It looks to be inspired by the P-38 as Paolo mentioned in his interview with FFG, it also appears to have very large jet engines.

What do you folks think, ready for some Allied air power, to take down those SSU choppers.

Financial Crisis, and CharCon News

We are experience an unexpected financial crisis, and we will no longer be attending CharCon, and will therefore be canceling all our scheduled Dust Tactics events.

We’re sorry but, this is unavoidable and unfortunate.

We will be having a pledge drive here on the blog later this month, to try and recover some of what we spent on the con already.

This has been a very bad week here, and it’s starting to look very grim.

Impossible Labor: Complete…

Well it’s taken over a year, but now I have filmed a video review or in depth profile for each and every single Tannhauser character currently available. This makes Irishka the last video I have planed till the release of the Frankenstahl.

So what would you folks like to see next? I’m starting plans to begin a Dust Tactics series, but there is nothing definite yet. As for Tannhauser videos I’m really not sure where to go from here.

Tannhauser: Operation: Night Eagle is out.

The next Tannhauser novel is available at some retailers now, much like the SSU Heroes for Dust Tactics, it’s not out everywhere yet.

You can order it from FRP Games right now.

SSU Hero Pack is out…

The SSU Hero Pack is available at some retailers, but not all. This is a good sign that everyone will have them by the end of the week.

You can check ‘em out at FRP Games. They don’t always have the best price, but they tend to get things in stock a week earlier then most folks. Sometimes you can get stuff at FRP before you can get it from FFG.

The New SSU Flyers are Finally on the way.

From FFG…

In March, we announced the upcoming release of two SSU airborne units for Dust Tactics and Dust Warfare: the SSU Airborne Walker Transport and the SSU Ground Attack Helicopter. At the time, our intelligence assured us that these helicopters would be combat-ready by the end of June. So, where are they?

SSU Mechanics Hard at Work

Minor production issues delayed the release of these two helicopters, but the problems have now been resolved. The helicopters are truly combat-ready, and we will begin shipping them shortly. They should be available in stores in a little over a month.

No other faction in the world of Dust Tactics has had to endure as much as the SSU, and as a result, no other faction is quite as resilient. After suffering heavy losses in their early battles with the Axis, SSU forces survive as much by the strength of their will as the strength of their arms. They are dedicated to bringing their Airborne Walker Transport and Ground Attack Helicopter to the battlefields, and we look forward to see these airborne units hovering over Dust Tactics and Dust Warfare tables soon.”

Video: Zor’ka

Our next video in our Novgorod video series is up, and it’s Zor’ka!

We used a different white balance in this video to bring out the blue of the Tesla board. Hope you enjoy.

Program Note: ??! has pointed out that I mis-described the “Servitude” rules, when using Servitude, the Voivodes are moved to spaces adjacent to Zor’ka or as close as possible, regardless of distance from Zor’ka when they start.

New Camera, New Video Finally!

Today we kick off our series on the Novgorod expansion figures, with those all important Voivodes.

Look forward to more soon, Zor’ka is next.

New Videos Getting Closer

We’re working hard to try and get back to filming, we’ve been doing test videos with a Canon T2i for a while now. I have to say things are going well, but this is no handy cam, first it costs twice as much, and it’s only half as easy to use, but I think after a few videos you all see a quality improvement in the footage shown here on There is going to be a transition period as we learn to use all the new camera settings. So, the first couple videos may not be the best.

Also we’re experimenting with a lot of different lighting setups. Here is our new set.

Well all for now, we should have our first test video up on the YouTube channel in a day or so.

September Bonus Token: Crucifix

Sorry for the delay in posting, it’s a holiday weekend here in the states, but without any further delay, here is the September Bonus Token for Tannhauser…

Marie Leveau’s Crucifix

Marie Laveau was a famous voodoo practitioner in New Orleans, revered by modern voodoo practitioners; her crucifix has become imbued with the power to raise the dead as Zombies.

Artifact • When any character is killed, they may be brought back as a reinforcement (without spending any Command Points); however, they are now a Zombie, and have only the following stats and equipment. (This equipment allows you to bring back even enemy characters as Zombies for your team.)

A character brought back as a Zombie has only one Health row as follows 5|7|-|5.

They are equipped with only the following equipment: Zombie Hunger: Weapon, Hand-to-Hand • When attacking with this weapon, your target rolls one fewer die on their Shock roll.

Command Points may not be spent on a Zombie’s behalf.

Further a Zombie may never be brought back into the game as a Reinforcement or Zombie again.
